Harmony Happenings Summer recap

Hospital News Updates:

Amy Trey, DVM

Dr. Amy was a wonderful member of our veterinary team at Harmony for the past three years. As many of you know, she moved to Colorado with her husband in July. We will miss her dearly but we wish her all the best in Colorado!

For our pet parents who consider Dr. Amy their primary vet, we encourage you to learn more about Dr. Kelsi FerrisDr. Katelyn McSpaddenDr. Jazlyn SharpDr. David Schur, and Dr. Jordan Woodruff. As always, you are welcome to schedule with any of Harmony’s wonderful veterinarians – just let a member of our reception team know who you would like to see and have as your new primary vet when you call for an appointment.

August 5-9 was Resort Staff Appreciation Week at HAHPRS! We love our resort staff! Their hard work and genuine love for each pet is truly what sets our pet resort apart. They go above and beyond every day to ensure all of our resort guests have the best experience possible. We are so grateful to have each of them on the team!

Harmony Rescue Clinic

Dr. Jordan Woodruff is now splitting her time between Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic (HARC) and Harmony Animal Hospital! Dr. Jordan very much enjoys rescue work and is very excited to be helping rescue pets in our area get the medical care they need in order to find forever homes.

Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic (HARC) celebrated its 4th anniversary on August 6th! To date, they have served over 8,914 pets from 110 rescue groups throughout North Carolina and have performed over 6,747 surgeries! We are so proud of our amazing HARC team, who work tirelessly every day to give the best care to pets in need in our community. HARC helps rescue groups give affordable care so they can save more pets!

HARC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) clinic that caters exclusively to rescue groups. HARC’s sole purpose is to provide out-patient veterinary care for animal rescue groups when they need it. Learn more about HARC here. If you would like to donate to help HARC click here.

Meet Rocky & Penny!

We are so proud of our assistant Rachel, who recently adopted a rescue pup named Rocky. Rachel says, “Rocky is a very high-energy and playful boy. We are very grateful he made his way into our lives. He is just the sweetest and fits in great with our other dogs. We really couldn’t imagine it any other way.”

We have the most caring & compassionate team!

To make this sweet story even better, Rachel’s family was able to adopt his sister, Penny! Rachel’s mom says Penny “loves lying on the sofa with ‘her people,’ digging for moles in the yard (and catching them), chasing squirrels and deer, and learning how to swim in the pool. She fits in very well with our family and has filled a void in our hearts since we lost our previous dog, Brady.”

All of us at HAHPRS were so excited to know that these two deserving pups will get to grow up together and continue building their brother-sister bond!

At Harmony, we know that every pet is unique, and we tailor our services to meet their individual needs.

Providing compassionate, knowledgeable, and outstanding care for you and your pet is always our top priority.

We love what we do, and we love being your other family doctor!

Happy Summer!

Your Harmony Team
