Molly Shelton, DVM
Molly Shelton, DVM, graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Following veterinary school, she completed a small animal emergency and specialty internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Greensboro. There, Dr. Molly developed her surgical skills and gained expertise in treating complicated pet emergencies and chronically ill pets. Dr. Molly specializes in surgery and emergency procedures. She has introduced laparoscopy and endoscopy to Harmony to provide minimally invasive options for our patients.
Since working in general practice, Dr. Molly has developed a passion for dentistry and advanced surgery. She serves as co-medical director with Dr. Charles – evaluating treatment protocols, researching new therapies, and developing resources for client education.
Originally from High Point, North Carolina, Dr. Molly studied marine biology at Duke University as an undergraduate (and yes, she did live in a tent to get tickets to Duke/UNC games) prior to focusing on veterinary medicine. She enjoys exercising, baking, and travelling to the North Carolina coast. Dr. Molly and her husband live in Cary with their 3 children, Ragdoll cat, and Golden Retriever. They love trying new restaurants and activities in the Triangle – any and all recommendations are welcome!
