Our Kitties

Carl

Hospital Kitty

Carl claimed the title of Hospital Cat in early 2010. Found wandering the grounds of a local apartment complex, Carl found his way to Harmony Animal Hospital via the home of one of its clients. When this client, an owner of several dogs, opened her door to investigate the commotion Carl was making outside her home by pawing at her front door and meowing noisily, Carl ran inside & made himself at home. A lover of his canine brethren, Carl was unfazed by the doggie residents. Despite his charm, Carl was brought to Harmony Animal Hospital by his finder as a stray, and after an exhaustive but unsuccessful search for his owners, Harmony claimed him as one of their own. A lover and not a fighter, Carl can be found in the lobby greeting both patients & clients alike. True to his needy demeanor, Carl also frequents the Exam Rooms by meowing outside the doors until he is let in to join the activity inside. Carl enjoys coughing up hairballs, tending to his Fabio-like locks of fur, and remains in denial of his handbag fixation.

Russell

Hospital Kitty

Russell joined the Harmony Animal Hospital family in early 2010.  Found running out of an abandoned barn and jumping into the arms of a Harmony Animal Hospital client, Russell made his way into our hearts as a stray.  During his first few weeks with us we searched for his owners but ultimately determined he was in fact a cat without a home, and we gladly welcomed him into our family.  While his official title is Hospital Kitty, Russell insists he is much more than a mere “pet.”  Rather, he sees himself as a sophisticated trouble maker and always willing to take responsibility for his hijinks.  When not sleeping on hospital keyboards, watching Animal Planet in the lobby, or pouncing on the other hospital kitty named Carl, Russell enjoys wine tastings, bow tie conventions, and watching James Bond movie marathons.
